Medical weight management · Lakeland & Florida telehealth

Medical weight management, built around women's physiology

Weight is a medical topic, not a moral one. Hormones, thyroid, insulin resistance, PCOS, perimenopause, sleep, medications and life stage all matter - and they get looked at here.

What's involved

A real medical workup, then a plan that's actually yours

Individualized medical assessment

A full look at your health history, medications, cycle and hormonal picture, and what has and hasn't worked before.

Weight & health history

Patterns over time, life events, pregnancies, thyroid and metabolic history - context that gets skipped far too often.

Appropriate labs

Metabolic, thyroid, hormonal and other labs as indicated, so decisions are based on data rather than guesswork.

Nutrition & lifestyle

Practical, sustainable changes around protein, movement, sleep and stress - sized to your actual week, not an ideal one.

Medication options

When clinically appropriate, medication may be part of the plan, with a candid discussion of benefits, side effects, cost and duration. Yes, when appropriate, semaglutide, tirzepatide, and even wegovy are included.

Ongoing monitoring & telehealth follow-up

Regular check-ins, dose and plan adjustments, and lab monitoring - most of it easily handled virtually.

About GLP-1 and GIP medications

Honest information, not hype

GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP-based medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide have changed what's possible in obesity medicine. They are also real medications with real side effects, real monitoring requirements and real costs - and they are not right for everyone.

Whether medication is appropriate for you depends on your medical history, your labs, your other medications, pregnancy plans and clinical criteria. That's determined during a consultation, not before one.

No eligibility, prescription, dose or outcome is promised in advance. Results vary, and some people are not candidates for medication at all.

As new evidence-based, FDA-approved therapies become available, they can be evaluated and incorporated when appropriate — this practice is built to keep up.

If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy soon, weight medications generally aren't appropriate. We'll talk through other options.

The tone here

No shame, no gimmicks

No "skinny shots," no before-and-after photos, no miracle promises, and no lectures. Just a clinician who takes the medicine seriously and treats you like an adult - whether your goal is metabolic health, symptom relief, fertility, or feeling like yourself again.
