Birth preparation
Practical preparation for labor: comfort measures, coping, roles for partners, what to have on hand, and what to expect hour by hour.
Planned home birth
For those who are appropriate candidates after individualized assessment - birth in your own space, with skilled hands, monitoring and equipment present.
Labor & birth support
Physiologic birth supported, not managed. Intermittent monitoring, freedom to move, water if you want it, and clinical judgment throughout.
Postpartum care
Home visits in the early days and follow-up beyond them- bleeding, healing, feeding, mood, contraception and how you're really doing.
Newborn care
Newborn assessment, weight and feeding checks, screening recommendations, and coordination with your baby's pediatric provider.
Is home birth right for you?
It starts with an individualized assessment
Planned home birth is a reasonable, evidence-informed choice for healthy people with low-risk pregnancies who have skilled care and a clear plan for transfer if it's needed. Whether it's right for you depends on your history, your pregnancy as it unfolds, and your own values - not a checklist on a website.
We'll go through the evidence together, including the situations where hospital birth is the safer recommendation. Risk assessment continues all the way through pregnancy and labor, and plans can change - that's not failure, it's good care.

Availability is limited by due date. Only a small number of births are accepted each month so that every family gets unhurried, personal attention. Reaching out early helps.
Collaboration and transfer. If a concern arises before or during labor, we consult, and we transfer to hospital care when that's the right call - with you informed at every step.
VBAC considerations. Birth after cesarean is discussed individually, including the evidence, the risks and the setting. Eligibility is never assumed or guaranteed.
Limited OB ultrasound
Focused imaging, when it's clinically appropriate
Limited obstetric ultrasound is offered when there's a clinical reason for it, including early pregnancy dating and viability, nuchal translucency (NT) assessment, and biophysical profile (BPP) when indicated.
Limited ultrasound answers a specific question. It is not a substitute for a comprehensive diagnostic or anatomy ultrasound, and when one of those is indicated, it will be arranged with an appropriate imaging provider.
